MSc. Student Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences.
University of Alberta, Canada
I am pursuing a Master's degree at the Department of Agricultural, Food and Nutritional Science at the University of Alberta. I was honoured to have received the Graduate Research Assistant Fellowship in May 2022. Prior to this, I obtained my bachelor's degree in animal science from the University of LaSalle in Colombia. During my undergraduate studies, I spent an academic year at the University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. My passion for research has led me to complete internships at South Dakota State University, specializing in dairy nutrition, and at the University of Florida, focusing on beef and dairy cattle reproduction. I am an enthusiastic student and have volunteered for various trials conducted by my peers at the University of Alberta. Currently, I am leading the assessment of calf development, stress resilience, and vaccination response to BRD infections in beef calves receiving different growth-promoting implants. Additionally, I am providing support to my graduate colleagues on their respective research projects. As an essential part of my academic and personal development, I am open to collaborating with other research programs.
