My name is Jayakrishnan (Jay) Nair. I am an Assistant Professor of beef/Ruminant Production at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. I am interested in North American beef and forage production systems and have in-depth knowledge of ruminant nutrition. I have expertise in feedlot management, beef cattle growth, carcass quality, and forage and silage production and utilization. I am keenly interested in teaching, outreach, collaborative research, and extension.
