Graduate Research Assistant
Colorado State University
I was born and raised on a purebred Angus seed-stock ranch in eastern Oregon. In 2018, I received a bachelor’s degree in animal sciences from Kansas State University. During my college years, I spent time in the U.K. working for a genetics company, in the Pacific Northwest working for an integrated beef feeder and packer, and in the Midwest working for other seed-stock ranches. After graduation, I joined the Alltech team as a trainee in their corporate career development program, with a focus on feedlot nutrition. After my time in the career development program in 2019, I enrolled in a master’s degree program at Colorado State University on behalf of Alltech. I have since completed my MS degree and entered a Ph.D. program in ruminant nutrition at Colorado State University. My current research focuses on liver abscesses in feedlot cattle.
