He holds a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science from the Universidad del Tolima - Colombia (2012) and extensive professional experience in healthcare and beef cattle and ostriches production. He has been involved in research studies in meat, skin, and leather production throughout his career, focusing on meat quality at the Federal University of Viçosa. He obtained a Master's in Animal Science from the Federal University of Viçosa, focusing on growth physiology and meat quality (2017). Additionally, he completed his Ph.D. in Animal Science at the Federal University of Lavras, focusing on nutrition and ruminant production, emphasizing meat quality (2021). He worked as an associate researcher at the postdoctoral level in the Graduate Program of the Department of Animal Science at the Federal University of Lavras, linked to the Roullier Innovation Awards 2020 - Animal Nutrition project (Centre Mondial de l'Innovation Roullier, Roullier Group, Saint-Malo, France), under the supervision of Professor Mateus Pies Gionbelli. Currently, he is conducting a postdoctoral exchange at the Department of Animal Sciences at North Dakota State University, under the supervision of Professor Carl R. Dahlen. Additionally, he is involved as a postdoctoral researcher in the thematic project: "Early weaning of Nellore cow calves and its effect on fetal programming and the productive and reproductive performance of the next progeny" at the College of Animal Science and Food Engineering at the University of São Paulo (FZEA/USP), under the supervision of Professor Arlindo Saran Netto.
